Pros

They pay me at the end of the month, the job is a little more secure than other airlines. Thank the union for that though....

Cons

A lot of love here for Carolyn, I think it's a case of right place, right time for her, and she is well rewarded for it. The staff though are generally treated as school children and an inconvenience by middle management and the orange propaganda machine. There is a lot of spouting of values, integrity etc, employee surveys, however what they say and they do is a different matter.

Pros

- Better conditions compared to Ryanair - Bottled water provided

Cons

- At time a Lack of sense of humanity at all managerial level - In-Flight rubbish is collected in bags that during cruise are stored at the rear galley under cabin crew seats, the same seat you will be having your meal. One of the cabin crew seat is right next the toilet too. So you get to eat in between the passengers rubbish and toilet !!! - Food options provided by the airline could be much healthier - In general it felt difficult to cultivate genuine work relationships - The airline doesn't take into consideration where you live (central London in my case) so even if you get the legal minimum 11 hours between flights in the end you may rest only for 5 hours or less at times, making your sense of alertness sensibly reduced on your next shift. This could negatively affect safe & security of your next flight - Delays are not paid - A 3 hours flight is paid the same as a 6 hours flight (or at least it used to) - Too short turn arounds - Travel discounts are / used to be a joke, a real joke

Pros

The main pro are the people, everyone is kind and easy to talk to

Cons

Internal progression is difficult to obtain. There doesn’t seem to be a fair process in place to allow for a fair recruitment process and equally evaluate all candidates. External hires are favoured over internal progression, because providing a promotion is seen as more work for managers than hiring current managers from other organisations. Some deadlines are unachievable Lots of unnecessary meetings like monthly finance stand ups and away days wasting everyone’s time Poor IT support and infrastructure and difficult systems. Forcing everyone to come in three times a week and the amount you come into the office not being based off job responsibilities, some jobs don’t need to be in the office all the time as they collaborate with people in different countries and not in the Luton office
