Pros

Remote Other Employees are really friendly Used to be amazing

Cons

Other reviews have touched on this but they are outsourcing positions to workers in the Philippines to cut costs and are laying people off without a rhyme or reason. The average annual salary in the Philippines is around $3k per year in USD, so the cost cutting benefit is obvious. In addition, they have been laying people off without care for maintaining even the most basic business operations. The onboarding process is now so bad and so slow that Agents are increasingly becoming agitated and it is at times taking months to get onboarded. Another issue is that there is no feedback loop. At other companies, processes are improved and things are gradually worked on to make them better. This simply does not happen at eXp. On the contrary, things just get worse and processes fall apart for the most part. We used to have a Trello board to suggest improvements or ideas, but nobody ever took the suggestions and listened to them. I could be wrong but I don't recall one suggestion actually getting approved and having something improved, and there was like 80 suggestions. Recently it has gotten so bad that I would advise any agents considering joining to not join eXp. When it gets bad for staff, the agents suffer because we support them. I recommend looking up Fathom or another cloud brokerage instead of eXp. I am sure they aren't perfect but eXp is going down the drain at a rapid pace. I'll be back here in a few weeks or a month or two to update my review to say "Former Employee" once I have been replaced and let go, which is looking inevitable at this point.

Pros

Pay is actually competitive to Great, generous PTO and benefits packages.

Cons

Political and nepotistic. Their layoff process shows that they don't value employees at all. Leaders are energetic but incompetent at every level. If you speak up about problems you ARE the problem type of culture. Essentially, there are some really smart real estate agents leading in roles they've never had and there are some really smart business people that have no experience in real estate. This sounds like a diverse group but unfortunately they're too busy worrying about their jobs and/or measuring the genitalia to have any sort of clue for the future of real estate.

Pros

Interesting training online and nice staff but that is about it. I see a ton of 5 star reviews which I suspect some are from those who benefit because they recruit.

Cons

My sponsor was good but there was a lot of buzz and things overstated. The novelty wears off fast. Huge favoritism for big recruiter agents and the rest of us were nothing. Heavy recruiting by others made me embarrassed when I had agents from other companies constantly complaining. Exp was not for me so back to RE/MAX where I feel valued and supported properly.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry the time you spent with eXp was not a good match. As we grow as a company, we promise to incorporate all the feedback we receive towards improving the agent experience.
