Pros

When I started at adidas, I was drawn to the casual atmosphere and the fun people who made up the employee force. This is still true today. The company also offers a great benfits package, a 401(k) which they will match up to a certain extent, and ample FTO (Free TIme Off) Days. A starting employee has 1 week a quarter, plus a free floating holiday.

Cons

Career advancement can be tough. When jobs become available, they are not always fairly posted for everyone to know they are open. People are not always given the chance they should be and positions will just mysteriously get filled with someone the hiring manager already knows. Also, starting salaries are low, and raises are extremely tough to get.

Pros

I loved the work life balance and the people there. It was a great place to work because you were in the center of europe and had great opportunities to travel. Also working in south germany allows for a lot of vacation time therefor seeing the world is possible. also there is a great punch in system in that there is no punch in system if your work is done and you have your necessary hours for the week you are good to go. Playing sports at lunch is not bad either. Also if you are into sports this is the place to be as they are well positioned for the economic downslide. With the world cup coming up this is the pace to be!

Cons

There were not many downsides of working for adidas other then not understanding german to get around town. however if you like adventure then being dropped in the middle of germany not knowing a word of german is right up your ally. The culture is great but different there in that things are closed on sunday and nothing is 24 7u like we are used to in the USA. If you dont like the cld then there is not the place to work either because int he winter it can be very depressing. Also company sports can be a bit pricy at times however even though you have to pay for the gym and activities its still alot cheeper then on the outside.
