Pros

Travel in Europe, a lot of parties....no rush for achieving targets, you can do sports at work time, it is like a school

Cons

If you are not young, male, German (or marry to a German), don't think about a carrier here.... No opportunity for women at all. If you are a guy, you need to "know people" to move forward

Weak Leaders, terrible HR

Pros

adidas is a strong recognizable brand and has nice offices around the world, but it provides average compensation and benefits. And if you really want to move up, you have to be willing to live in the farm land of Bavaria.

Cons

Relationship culture that rewards the status quo and German heritage; decison-making that is based on opinions not facts, inept HR department, weak leaders who can't define strategy or even manage against budget

Good until it isn't

Pros

Employee discount is okay. Not many perks outside of that. Cafeteria food is subsidized, but nothing to write home about. You'll be distracted by the "culture" surrounded sports and lifestyle. So however long you can tolerate that. The excitement is fabricated and solely used to market the brand and push product as a fun and inclusive working environment.

Cons

You're a cog. Leadership and upper management are very toxic. False promises of growth and development. It is your typical corporate environment of who you know and how you use that to get where you want. Only the loudest in the room get somewhere. Not loud in a good way like they know what they're talking about. You're encouraged to speak up, but only when it works for those above you. Thinking critically, rationally and with sound reasoning is not valued. Your time is not yours.
