Great Place to Work!

Pros

Working here has been an incredibly rewarding experience. The founder-led CEO brings a unique energy and vision that you don't often find in larger corporations. There's something special about working directly with someone who built the company from the ground up - they truly understand every aspect of the business and are genuinely invested in both the company's success and employee growth. What I love most is how quickly you can see your ideas and contributions come to life. Unlike bureaucratic environments where projects get stuck in endless approval cycles, here you can propose something on Monday and potentially see it implemented by Friday. The direct line to leadership means your voice is actually heard, and when you have a good idea, it gets the attention and resources it deserves.

Cons

Fast-paced environment isn't for everyone - you need to be comfortable with change and ambiguity. Some processes are still evolving as we scale.

Lots of Opportunity, Great People, and Interesting Problems

Pros

ZoomInfo is a great place for people who like to take initiative and build things. If you’re proactive and want to grow, there’s plenty of room to do that here. The engineering work is interesting and complex — we’re dealing with huge amounts of data, fast-changing tech, and problems that really make you think. The tech stack is modern and improving, and there’s a strong focus on keeping things moving forward. One of the most exciting things is how much potential there is around our data — there’s a lot we can still unlock, which is especially true in terms of all AI related work that is currently in progress. Additionally, the team is a big highlight: smart, driven people who also genuinely care about doing good work and helping each other.

Cons

We grew really fast during the pandemic, and we’re still catching up in some ways. That kind of growth brings a lot of complexity — figuring out how to work across teams, how to make decisions more smoothly, and how to keep everyone aligned. On top of that, the market is moving quickly and the broader economic situation adds pressure. That sometimes leads to shifting priorities and changes that can be hard to keep up with. It’s not always the most predictable environment, which can be tough for some people.

ZoomInfo Response

Appreciate the thoughtful and well-rounded review. This captures so much of what makes ZoomInfo’s engineering culture unique. We’re glad you’re finding the work engaging and the opportunities for growth real. Tackling complex, high-scale data problems while building out the future of AI is no small feat, as you know. It’s exciting to have teammates like you leaning in with initiative and curiosity. You're right that hypergrowth brings complexity. We’re still evolving how we work across teams and stay aligned in a fast-moving environment, but that challenge is also what makes this such a dynamic place to build and grow. Thanks for being part of it and helping shape what’s next. --Filip Popovic, Chief Technology Officer
