Pros

Zoominfo has industry leading compensation plans for top performers, and unlike many companies who over promise and under-deliver on comp, Zoominfo often does the opposite. It's a challenging and fast paced work environment, but you are told that on day one -- no surprises. The culture within Zoominfo is a meritocracy, especially in sales. Work hard and hit your number? Be rewarded - financially and socially. Miss your number? Your leadership will work with you as much as humanly possible to coach and correct, but if it's clear the fit is not there, Zoominfo is not afraid to make the change.

Cons

I think the cons to being an AE at Zoominfo are not really company specific, and simply pertain to selling software as an AE at any company. It's a grind (just like, ya know, sales at any company, anywhere, any time in human history) but you are well supported, well compensated, and helping to build a better future for companies bringing a product to market.

You're right--we're big believers in being upfront about our fast-paced, challenging environment because we'd rather have people know exactly what they're getting into than surprise them later. Your take on our sales meritocracy is a great description of our environment: work hard, hit your numbers, get rewarded with recognition and growth opportunities. We love that you appreciate both the social recognition and the coaching support when things get tough. And honestly, your perspective on the "cons" just being the reality of sales anywhere made me smile. You totally get it! But when you're well-supported and building something meaningful that genuinely helps companies succeed, it makes all the difference. Thanks for being such an incredible part of our team. Reviews like this remind us why we love the culture we're building here. --James Roth, Chief Revenue Officer

Pros

The sales team at ZoomInfo is incredible—dedicated to helping you succeed. If you’re willing to ask for help and strive to improve, you’ll find endless resources available at your fingertips.

Cons

Just like any software company there are constant changes. Changes to comp and lead flow has been a major focus the last year and it can be a challenge to keep up with the constant changes.

Thank you for recognizing our sales team's commitment to helping people succeed. Having a collaborative, resource-rich environment is something we're really proud of. It's great to hear that you've experienced firsthand how much support is available when you're willing to ask for help and keep pushing to improve. You're absolutely right that salespeople need clear, consistent pathways to success, and we know the pace of change is fast around here. Your feedback about needing better communication around the broader vision and concerns about earning potential and lead flow are valuable. I invite you to set up time with me to talk about it further. My door's open and we're committed to getting this right. --James Roth, Chief Revenue Officer
