Pros

Managers are good and knowledgeable If there is something interesting you want to work on managers try to give those tasks to you. However this is also something that’s about to change soon Chance to work on new good technologies

Cons

Below average salary Upper management does not care about the employees all they want is their work to be done no matter how you do it People in engineering are working 10+ hours daily in USA sometimes including weekends, Israel team is doing worse than that The work life balance is non existent Note: please don’t fall for the pretty Glassdoor reviews they were added as a drive by the company to get the ratings up check out blind for reality

Building a company is an incredible challenge. Scaling a company from just a few customers to over 20,000 requires grit, dedication, innovation, and a lot of hard work. ZoomInfo isn’t a 9-5 job, and isn’t a good fit for everyone. Saying that, I’ve begun working 1:1 to help uncover and identify gaps we have between our company culture and employee expectations. We are exploring those gaps and will work to improve closing those gaps so that we can be the best company to work for. Building ZoomInfo into a world class organization will mean having to support an increase in customers, an increase in employees, and an increase in projects. We are looking for people who can adopt that passion to help us build. We do understand that it won’t be for everyone. -Nir, Chief Technology Officer

Pros

The compensation is decent and there is a quick path to mobility.

Cons

Myself and many others were told by the recruiters that this is a remote first company, and that barely anyone goes to the office. When I started on day 1, I was told I was required to be in the office at least 3x a week. I have a sick family member that I take care of, so I requested to work remotely. When I went to upper leadership about this, they took ZERO accountability and told me I can either quit or deal with it. I would have never joined if I knew they required employees in office 3x a week, and now my family has to suffer because of shady recruiters and unaccountable leadership. ZoomInfo cares about their number, and customers but NOT their employees.

Pros

Salaries are competitive (although not for the the hours they demand) and stock vests over 3 years. They promote from within (which may be out of necessity because so many people leave.) It's a good name to have on your resume.

Cons

Everything! The company culture is atrocious. There are 20+ C-Suite executives and they all micromanage, which creates a culture where quantity is massively prioritized over quality of work. Checking the box that a task/project is complete is far more important than thinking strategically and doing work that will benefit our customers and/or internal users. The C-suite also scrutinizes how much PTO each employ takes (regardless of the quality of work you produce or the number of hours per week you typically work.) Everyone is expected to work well over 40 hours per week, since teams are dramatically understaffed, and PTO is heavily discouraged. (You are required to deliver the same amount of work, if you take time off, so you can never take more than 1-2 days in a row.) The benefits are the worst I've come across in tech (ex: you have to accrue sick time, the health insurance is off-brand BCBS and it's hard to find in-network doctors.)

Hi, thanks for taking the time to leave a review of your experience at ZI. We wanted to comment on your review to clarify a few points about the culture. It’s unfortunate to hear that our culture is not a place you feel that employees can thrive. Since the beginning of the year, we have prioritized and invested in our resources as well as made signifiant strides in account loads. As mentioned in the last All Hands meeting, we have refocused our company to three things that creates incredible, long-term, durable value - Solving hard problems, rowing in the right direction, having customers who trust you and love our products and services. Also our benefits consistently rank as top notch and are reviewed regularly to compete with other Tech companies and especially after feedback received from our engagement surveys. If you are unable to get PTO approved please work with your HRBP to ensure you get what you need for a good work/life blend. Thank you
