Hey, First, I am always working on my delivery - sometimes I’m making the right point, but I’m not doing it in the way it lands best. I do believe in RTO, and we’ve had an RTO policy since the beginning of the year, while it has been mandatory since then, I’ve tried to give everyone time to adjust to a new normal. We have come to the point where I believe the benefits of the RTO policy outweigh additional time for adjustment. I want to be as transparent as I can be when I address the company, so while I didn’t mean to mock or be smug about it, I did want to be honest. Of course I also personally bear the responsibility for the company’s performance - I set the strategy, I hire the team to execute, I hold them accountable. If the business is not doing what we expected it to do, that’s my fault. At the same time, I want to make sure everyone knows the areas we should be focused on - that invariably means we have to review areas where we didn’t show up as well as we could have - it’s like watching game tape in sports - we don’t just watch a highlight reel, we focus on the areas we could have improved. When I do that - I’m not passing blame or responsibility, I’m making sure we are aligned on areas we can improve on and letting everyone at the company know I’m working on improving those areas. But again, on delivery, I’ll continue to work on it. -Henry

Pros

ZI tends to be a need to have, so you can sell it.

Cons

Many. 1) Mandatory return to office is terrible. In a "what have you done for me lately?" culture and no work/life balance, now they ask that we spend hours commuting and we can't get our work done in traffic 2) If you were hired remotely and want to keep that, you won't be considered for promotions if they can hire someone that goes into an office. I've seen this happen to my colleagues 3) None of your feedback will go anywhere. We don't provide manager reviews. They are free to behave poorly without consequences even if you go to HR

Thank you for leaving a response and are concerned with your experience to date. It’s true that our sales culture can be demanding but we are making great strides in our learning and developing offerings to ensure our employees thrive and can find a great work-life balance. And because we want to hear from our employees, like you, and understand what you need to be successful we recently launched the ZI Voice employee engagement survey (we hope you participated as your candid and anonymous feedback will be taken seriously) The insights will enable our Senior Leadership team to understand your views and take action.

Pros

The product is something that a lot of businesses need in order to drive growth within their own companies, which means it is an easy product to sell. People want to use the platform and usually see the value in it without having to do a hard sell. There is room for growth here. If you are willing to put your head down and grind, you will be able to move up fairly quickly but expect to succumb to the grind culture that they promote. Other companies love to see that you have worked at Zoominfo in the past because it shows them that you have what it takes to work hard. It is a great resume builder. PTO is flexible which means you won't run out of it, but be mindful that even if you take PTO you are still expected to hit your monthly quotas that month.

Cons

This company has an extremely high turnover, with both people being let go and quitting. They pick managers based on their performance, which means they may not possess the management skills required to manage a team. This leads to a lot of frustration when needing to ask a question. There is also a lot of movement of managers. You may come in to work one day and be put on a new team without a heads-up. There is a lack of stability and teams/ rules are constantly changing. They also put a lot on the manager's plates, making it hard for them to be able to attend the 1:1 they schedule with you or provide you with help. Teams are often large and because of this, you may have to fight for dial room with your colleagues. This position was originally a hybrid role with 1-2 days in the office max, but as time went on they started asking people to come in 3-4 days a week.
