Pros

I can’t think of any

Cons

sales culture of carrot-dangling, duplicity, bait and switch, and just outright lies. Wreck-less decision making by executives on the TalentOS and emerging products team that inevitably will roll downhill to you. This is one of those orgs that sees zero rep participation towards quota and sales leadership makes empty promises that they can’t keep to investors just like they do to their employees in a futile and foolish attempt to cover their bums and line their pockets and decides the answer is to increase quota and money machine will just go BRRRR. They will cheat you out of your bonuses. Offer retention bonuses to keep you from accepting offers and then fire you for example, so not only did they keep you but they didn’t actually have to pay you, or they’ll just deny that they owe you any commissions you were promised. If you are going to work here, expansion and renewals is the place to be. ZI does have a pretty good strategy when it comes to being sticky and new logo acquisition costs are just too high and it seems the focus has been drawn away in a more hostile economic environment. But if you just have to work at a data broker and you’re a hunter, look for a more agile series A to come in with a better solution at a better price. Welcome back to 2008!

Pros

There are some really great people at ZoomInfo, the company continues to grow rapidly and there is a certain level of security that comes with that.

Cons

Zoominfo has the stereotypical tech bro culture throughout the entire organization. Most of management is completely out of touch with what day to day looks like for their employees and it’s very normal for people who are over working to be praised for this. Management will not make you feel good about taking time off and there are multiple blackout dates throughout the year. Another major red flag is there are very few minorities in any management positions. Management does not do a good job of providing feedback to help improve employees and it feels very much like you are just another pawn that is part of the organization. CSM management has many incompetents who continue to promote and hire other in incompetents. If you are looking to join a company where your work/life balance is important then do not apply to work at Zoominfo. To tie it all together the pay is much lower than most comparable organizations and even some that are much smaller.

Cons

I echo everything in the review titled, "Incredibly disorganized, not interested in doing things the right way"

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. It’s great to hear that you had a positive experience with your colleagues. I feel the same way: we have a team of incredibly talented folks that are a genuine pleasure to work beside. I do sometimes think that we engineers, who love precision and order, can be a bit flippant about the use of the word ‘chaos’, but your point stands. When you grow 50% year over year, scaling an engineering organization can be a monumental task, and I’m very proud of how we’ve risen to the occasion. Very few other organizations could have produced what we have in the amount of time we brought it to market. But, as you know, we’re always striving to get 1% better, and there is still work to be done. We are currently working diligently on building efficiencies within our resourcing and workstreams, which include frameworks for planning, and metrics to measure quality, efficiency, performance, and stability. I personally am very enthusiastic about where we’re headed, and I’m grateful for the feedback that helps us continue improving. I wish you all the best in your career! – Madhav Nair, ZoomInfo SVP of Engineering
