Pros

Honestly i have no pros to say in regards to this job

Cons

• Part timer always treated poorly be it own hire or under agency • Management & full timer expect you to know everything in hand on your first day •No phones for straight 7.5hours , unless break 1hr = Total Hrs: 8.5hrs, to my point of view is really inconvenient as some of us have a own family, kids etc. in case of any emergency we’re able to notified within that moment not at the shop floor itself but can at least have a quick call at the locker area or pantry in regards to the emergency. I feel that this should be raise. Yes correct we are all working adults, however life & threatening matters are unpredictable. So a simple leniency of letting staffs put their phone in their pocket, will be an improvement. • Worked at 2 outlets before, ION & Vivo. Both side management is poor however vivo is little more understanding then ION is super fast paced and zero empathy •Wants staffs to be efficient, quick thinker & provide great customer service but treated poorly by rude management & low minimum wage $10/hr with such work load in toxic environment. BIG NO. Freshly Graduates please find other part time opportunity thn retail as there’s no pros unless is small retail outlet thn it should be fine

Pros

Nice working in a central location Uniform are included for free You receive dedicated training Cultural diversity of staff

Cons

Everything about this place is designed to make you feel miserable. Management do not display an ounce of care towards you or your humanity -- I had a coworker come in late to work because he was in a car crash a few minutes before and their response was that he needed to work on his punctuality. -- It was R U OK day and they told us that it's okay to feel mentally unstable but make sure that you time it on your breaks. When you're on the floor you're working. -- I had managers make mistakes and then lie so that the blame was put on me Let's talk about the hours and discounts: - You are to be completely available so they can give *usually* only around 3-4 4 hour shifts a week. - You are not allowed to have more than 20 hours a week unless it's during sales which it goes up - they'll most likely cancel your shifts that week the day before. - Casuals do not get any discounts Customer service - I genuinely care for the customer's experience as every retail assistant has the opportunity to improve someone's day. - At Zara you will be watched and scolded for spending more than 5 minutes assisting a customer. - So when I assisted customers and showed care towards them, they were genuinely shocked I do not wish the unhappiness I felt working at this place on anyone.

Pros

You get to work with some amazing and very diverse teams. Some managers and staff are fun to work with and very supportive. I got to meet some of my friends through work who I am still in touch with after leaving the company.

Cons

The company expects you to be able to act as a general manager, operational manager and support other departments while you are in the middle of solving a customer issue. And also trying to cover shifts for 5 employees who called in sick or didn't show up to work. The company doesn't provide the departments with enough labour hours in order to run the floor according to their "standards", so the managers end up doing most of the work as floor staff.
