Pros

Salary & benefits are good

Cons

1. Work life balance is terrible. You give you soul to the project and still get no appreciation (not the case in every team though). 2. Politics, Politics. Politics. Favouritism. 3. Lay offs are happening in the name of "counselling off" where they provide no counselling and just say that your performance was not good. No prior flagging of performance issues. In some cases, people (with almost no performance issues) were put into a "Performance Improvement Plan", where the individual's performance is tracked and even after successfully getting out of it, they fire them after a couple of months. No job security. 4. Don't even want to start about the HRs. 5. ZS has PD coaches. Earlier managers were PD coaches and they used to help the juniors professionally. Now, ZS has hired some Psychology majors people as PD coaches and they are just terrible. 6. ZS doesn't care about its employees.

Pros

Like any consulting firm, you’ll be on so many different projects so the learning opportunities will be in abundance.

Cons

Let me start by saying this is the worst job I have ever had including side high school jobs. There is no work life balance - it’s just work. I have had tough projects in the past but I have never encountered the situation where there are truly not enough hours in the working day for the project timeline. The principals are paranoid and lead by micromanaging and are surprisingly more involved than they should be even at the AP level - talking to the level of slide X should say this. I know consulting in general is tough, but because they don’t have brand recognition and still operate with a small firm mentality - there is absolutely ZERO leveraging of prior framework, processes or methodologies. Which on its own would be fun and exciting, but throw in extremely aggressive / just asinine timelines and it becomes setting up teams for failure. This is the type of job and company that makes you realize no amount of money is worth not just your mental health but literally purchasing every ounce of your life. I would RUN. Toxic culture.

Pros

Compensations and benefits are really great but they are only used to put an employee in a vicious cycle for him not to resign and policies made are changed when the time comes to get benefits from them.

Cons

1. Very poor management 2. No Processes 3. Unhealthy Politics 4. People are not considered worthy enough if they don't work till 2 am in the morning, very very poor work life balance. I will repeat very poor..... 5. Internally switching teams is available but in the name of policies its not allowed, basically its like giving an empty coffee mug and telling people see we are so considerate about our employees but from within the cup is empty. 6. Especially Knowledge Management team runs like they have their own set of rules. I can go on and the list will be never ending hence stopping here.
