      Carl Zeiss Vision: inept management, hostile work environments

      Pros

      The people I got to work with in the labs. They're innocent bystanders in a screwed-up corporate system.

      Cons

      Hostile work environment for gays, older people, and women. If you have some ideas and put them forth, they don't listen because Corporate didn't think of it first. Then months later, Corporate magically comes up with the same idea and now it's wonderful. They're so afraid of being shown up by anyone who knows more than they do that they prey on smart people (especially the Corporate HR group), mobbing and harassing anyone who they decide is "weird" or different, or doesn't agree with every stupid thing Corporate comes up with.

      Toxic Company with a Good Product

      Pros

      They have a good product which is how they stay in business. Good benefits as well.

      Cons

      Management is all over the place. There is little to no communication and a lot of generalization with little specificity. My biggest issue is that that majority of people here are very two faced or flat out rude.
