Pros

No any pros, really nothing.

Cons

Feedback on the application came in late (11pm, 12pm). I don't exclude that under the condition of employment they also don't respect the employee's working time. Do not keep their promises, constantly stupid. "We'll get back to you in 3 days", "oh we need two more days", "oh and I was at a conference". Huge red flag, how can you trust the word of such a company? There is an impression that work-life balance is not honored here. A question was asked about what a good manager should be like. The answer, "flexible", made them very uncomfortable. Between the lines it sounded like we could call out of our shift or ask to work more than we should "because of the situation and we are a team". Don't expect them to respect their time. Very surprised that there are people who don't gamble. Answering "no" to the question "have you ever bet/played in a casino" came as a shock. Is that possible? Why? I keep in mind, not everyone enjoys flushing money down the drain. They deny employment for made-up reasons. The most ingenious thing you can say to someone with quite a lot of experience is "oh, you have no experience". And they are absolutely not afraid that they and the request to fly in can give a written explanation of what exactly experience / skills they lacked. In summary, based on the results of communication with the team, I CATEGORICALLY do not recommend the company. The ideal candidate for them is not asking questions, ready to work 24/7 without objections, who in his free time just drains money in their own company.

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. Reading your comments, we understand that your review is based on an interview experience you had rather than your impressions of Yolo as an employee. We are truly sorry that you had delays in the process, it is a feedback that we have taken on board. As for the rest of the comments, we can assure you that we do respect our employees work life and balance and having had experience in the world of iGaming is not a pre-requisite for the role. This can however be asked in order to understand what is the candidates perception and experience with gaming. We pick the candidates based on a combination of skills, professional match, motivation and attitude. We are sorry that you feel the feedback about your lack of experience was incorrect. As it is with hiring for any role, there can be people that have a lot of great attributes, but there is someone better fitting for the position in terms of their background.

Avoid the department

Pros

Salary and nothing else as a pro

Cons

Workplace bullying, not allowed to take unpaid leaves if needed. Everything leads to a written warning, even if not reacted to a post in slack. The team leads call themselves BOSSES, even the title of job says lead. Employee mental health can be outside the door if you want to work in this department. People are leaving the department all the time as soon as they get another opportunity, this should already be a red flag, the higher management needs to keep an eye on Fraud and Payments Manager as well as Team Leads (Bosses) to see why a new position is open every 2-3 months.

We are very sorry and concerned to read your comments. We take acquisitions of workplace bullying very seriously and will look into this matter. As a company, we invest in all employee's mental health - from monthly well-being compensation to sports events to gym and sauna in the office. As for unpaid leaves, indeed, this depends on the team and current workload and might not be granted on ad hoc basis. Saying that, we'd like to highlight that on top of annual vacation, Yolo offers extra time off for mental health and even your birthday - this is to make sure we have a good work-life balance.
