      Messed-up Management

      Pros

      WP had some of the brightest minds in the industry and were good paymasters too. Very helpful colleagues, in general, and a fun place to work too.

      Cons

      With frequent changes in the management structure (more than a dozen times in last 3 years), the upper management is now really lost on what they should do to salvage the situation. Laying off en-masse is the only solution the 'bright' minds can think of.

      Pros

      There's a lot of great people who work at WorleyParsons and I had some good times working there. For all the bad things that they do, they get a lot of things right. In an industry like hydrocarbons you really cannot afford mistakes. They protect themselves quite well and tend to be able to fly under the radar a fair bit.

      Cons

      WorleyParsons tended to be very bureaucratic and very resistant to change. They are too large of a company that depended on large projects to cover their expenses. A lot of pressure was/is put on staff to extend themselves to meet management's objectives.

      Great Family of Co-workers, alot seem to care for one another, Make many long lasting friends. a great place to learn and move on

      Cons

      Too much Politics. Not a place to hold a stable job.. one day you can start a new project, the next day you're FIRED. I was fired and rehired all in the same day with different employee number.. they ship you all over to different locations and you still have to pay for your own living
