Pros

Very fun place to work. Lots of fun merchandise. Customers love to shop merchandise from the other countries. Best company I have ever worked for!

Cons

They closed all the stores in Omaha, so we all lost our jobs. I don't have any complaints for the way our Omaha store was run. Supervisor rate of pay could be higher for all the responsibilities they have.

Pros

The store employees are great and are willing to go above and beyond to help you learn the products and procedures.

Cons

Back rooms of stores are too small and packed with merchandise on truck day to the point you can't move around or move product around. Very dangerous and have seen a few people get hurt. Company lacks greatly in vervbal communication and training. Once you are hired in aposition you will never get out of that position. very micro managed comapny and needs to learn more about customer service.

Pros

Great discounts on merchandise, fun people to work with.

Cons

Lack of opportunity for advancement small staffing makes it hard to accomplish goals at work Over kill of sets in store make it a maze to walk around in Failure to recognize employees Poor training which leads to poor service Equipment is old and breaks down to much warehouse is a HUGE safety issue with old ladders and to much stock in tight spaces. More write ups than recognition H.R. dept that is far from being confidential D.M.'s that dont have a pulse on their stores Little time, Little staff, TONS OF WORK Hours cut from full-time employees to save money, giving full timers part time hours. Company has gone deaf, they do not listen to the employees working with the customer and they do not listen to the customer. Greedy, greedy, greedy. get involved in dumb movie promos, books and more but do not take the time to get involved in the community they are in, they may from store to store but of the stores in my area, none get involved with any schools, paraded, festivals etc... Place is a mess in short, G'M's/D'M's are to busy patting themselves on the back to open their eyes to the potential the company had if it was run properly and it starts with labor. People dont shop where no one works. Our store at times has less employees than the 7-11 on the corner, maybe the 7-11 people understand what REAL CUSTOMER SERVICE IS ABOUT, thats why there are no more White Hen Pantries but there are still Pier 1 Imports. Huh?
