Pros

- Incredibly hard working and brilliant mid-tier employees. - Lots of room for growth on the Sales side. - Some of the most gifted PMs, who will do incredible things (likely elsewhere).

Cons

- Product is lacking in direction. - Non-sales teams operate in panic mode 95% of the time. - "Flexible schedules" actually means that employees are expected to become available 24/7. - Upper management has bias to recommend automation, even when it's the wrong call. - Hires lots of entry level employees with no plans to help them develop. - Managers have overbooked schedules and no time to mentor their direct reports. - "Automate yourself out of a job" could put you out of a job. - Understaffed Post-sale teams. - People dissapear with no indication why.

Used to be great

Pros

The flexibility of working hours. It's great to be able to work at any time of day and anywhere in the world.

Cons

I worked for Wonder at a time when we could choose our own jobs and the pay was fantastic. The new system has dropped the pay level and you can no longer choose work that suits you. Work without compensation. I had a sourcing job rejected as the writers didn't like the style of work required. Got a bad rating on a job that was sent with one minor change and $0 for a job that took 3 hours. Compensation can vary widely and while I agree with the reviewing process in general, it can cause major issues. A new system that requires you to maintain a score level above 4.4 out of 5 or you will be dropped from the program. Even for a long time employee, it's almost impossible to maintain that score.

Great after the learning curve

Pros

-Because you are paid per project, if you focus and stick with it, your payrate is on par with your abliity. -Likewise,You aren't going to get rich, but you really can make a decent amount of money doing this and you can do it from any location. Its a great way to support travel! -If you are a lifelong learner with a deep level of curiosity, you are getting paid to hang out online and learn about random topics. Working for Wonder has made me an expert on so many random topics! -Both the administrative staff and the research team as a whole are very positive and helpful, and you actually feel connected to real humans who all support each other- that can be rare with online work. -Self scheduling allows for travel and flexibility, and you can take time off at will. -The admin team takes your feedback seriously, and is always upgrading the platform to create a more supportive work environment for the research team

Cons

-The going is slow when you first start- research feels hard, and it can be overwhelming and feel like you'll never make any money. -There is a pretty steep learning curve (but the team is supportive and if you ask, the veteran researchers are super helpful). -Waiting on your work to get reviewed can be obnoxious- as it often takes a long time and you feel stuck to your computer after you've finished working while you wait to get your work approved.
