Used to be Amazing, Now, Not So Much

Pros

You can choose your own schedule and work as little or as much as you want

Cons

You no longer get to choose your topics and often get stuck with stuff that doesn't even make sense, pay per hour has gone down considerably since the new system started despite the fact that they charge clients more, Reviewers hold all the power as to what you get paid and are remarkably inconsistent. Before the new system, you were able to do a question, that you chose both in terms of topic and pay, from start to finish. It was amazing because you learned something every time and made good money (or at least knew what you were signing up for before you started). Now you get randomly assigned bizarre questions that, because you don't know what you're working on, can take hours -- all for $16 to source or $30-32 to complete.

Pros

The hours are flexible so it is perfect for graduate students like me. I basically have control over how much I am going to earn per week. The community is very helpful and I enjoy the chance to learn new things with each assignment.

Cons

It can be tedious work and sometimes it is possible to get a reviewer that rejects the work even if you feel you did everything correctly. That's hours of work without compensation.

Thanks for your feedback! We do have an existing process in place if your work wasn't approved but it should have been; in those cases, we'll do an independent review and then compensate you for your time anyway. All you need to do is reach out to research@askwonder.com with the details. As for the suggestion about making edits, stay tuned for some upcoming announcements... :^)

Pros

$16.00 an hour if you know what you are doing (4.5 stars or higher) and $10 if your work quality is not the best. Work at your own pace, you can add time to the timer (you have 60 mins) so they know you are still interested in working on the question or you can return it and go to the next one. I waited to get paid before writing this review and putting too much time into the company and I did get paid for my work. Paypal payments which I personally love.

Cons

Not a great connection with management nor overly organized but they do have a slack community and they have never failed to help each other out. There can be down times (usually on Sundays) and you will have days where the work is slow. However, you can balance it out by doing other writing jobs for other companies.
