Cons

It is very hard to be successful at this job. When I applied, I understood that I'd be writing research reports with a timed deadline that you could extend by 30 increments minutes if needed. However, they must have just revamped their system, because no such extension exists. You have four hours to complete an assignment and whatever is completed within that time is automatically submitted for review. Four hours seems like a lot of time, but it is difficult to read and synthesize long and detailed notes and sources, create and outline and write high-quality error-free pieces. Those who are successful at this must be machines! -If you submit work that does not pass 4.5 in quality, they send it back to you for revisions, however, you must still be online and available. If you worked on a project at night and slept afterward, you'll wake up to emails requesting further edits, but your opportunity window will have expired and all of your work is discarded and the research request is sent back to the general pool. Truly a waste of valuable time.

Thank you for sharing your honest feedback about your experience on Wonder. It’s really helpful for us to understand how we could have better set up your expectations about assignment time limits in advance of your first live jobs, so that we can continue to improve the application experience. We have time limits on our jobs to ensure that we can successfully deliver research to our clients in a fast turnaround, and we’re continuing to explore how to optimize the experience of completing work within that timeline for our analysts. We’ve recently begun experimenting with expanding the sourcing time limit, which will likely include time extensions like what you describe, in the future. If you have any additional feedback about your experience, feel free to reach out at research@askwonder.com!
