Used to be Amazing, Now, Not So Much

Pros

You can choose your own schedule and work as little or as much as you want

Cons

You no longer get to choose your topics and often get stuck with stuff that doesn't even make sense, pay per hour has gone down considerably since the new system started despite the fact that they charge clients more, Reviewers hold all the power as to what you get paid and are remarkably inconsistent. Before the new system, you were able to do a question, that you chose both in terms of topic and pay, from start to finish. It was amazing because you learned something every time and made good money (or at least knew what you were signing up for before you started). Now you get randomly assigned bizarre questions that, because you don't know what you're working on, can take hours -- all for $16 to source or $30-32 to complete.

SCAM & FRAUD

Pros

You think they would pay their freelance researchers properly.

Cons

They have you do work, then say you forgot things too. Instead of being able to edit, they just do it themselves and not pay you for the majority of work that you have done. I've never saw such unprofessionalism in a business. What liars.

Sorry to hear you didn't enjoy your experience on Wonder! We expect analysts to submit client-ready work every time, but we provide editing services as needed, where the analyst and the editor will share the pay on getting the research brief finished. If you feel that your work was sent to editing in error and was in fact client-ready, please let me know! I'd be happy to look into it. --> research@askwonder.com

Pros

None that I have discovered yet

Cons

I was excited to start but I have not been paid for my last two assignments even though I got a score of 4.0. The website states that you are paid $10 for your first three assignments and that you get $10 an assignment and $16 if you have a quality over 4.5 or so. My last two assignments have been 4.0 stars and I have not gotten paid for them. Glad I figured out this company was a scam the first week

Hi! Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. We'd like to get this payment issue resolved ASAP. If you could please message our Community Manager, @Rhett_Admin on the Community Slack. Its our #1 priority to ensure that you're paid in full and on-time. We've just updated our payment structure on our backend to ensure that pay discrepancies do not occur in the future. We've also updated our new analyst pay policy to pay newbies more for those first 3 requests as well!
