Pros

TransferWise is all about being creative. There are a hundred different ways to get to the solution of a problem and you can take whatever avenue you'd like. They thrive on change and you are able to be yourself within this organization. There are countless perks to being an employee here and it is the first company I've worked for that values their employees. They ask for feedback, embrace diversity, and are open to ideas from anyone. TransferWise is new in the USA but it is growing in numbers very quickly in Tampa, FL. The opportunities in Tampa will grow as the company does. There is no stopping ground for what you want to do. This organization is the opposite of corporate America. I love the transparency of information "we have nothing to hide". If you want to enjoy going to work everyday and feel that what you do matters, join this revolution.

Cons

If you can't handle change, this isn't a company for you. While the rate of pay is below the average for this position in the states, the perks of being an employee make up for it :-)

Pros

There is loads of freedom to exercise your creative potential and to really develop yourself as a person. The company is growing and changing constantly so you have to grow as a person and develop yourself to stay ahead of the curve. TransferWise gives you pretty much all the tools you need to do your job and basic instructions on what the expected outcome is, but aside from that you get to make your own fun. There aren't any set benefits (aside from share options), but you can pretty much come up with your own benefits if you pitch it to Human Resources. The atmosphere is very entrepreneurial, but very supportive and positive at the same time. The collective is really global/international, so the variety of people who work here is massive. Being surrounded by people who are smarter and better then you definitely helps you refine and develop your A game. Whatever your field, you'll likely be doing things that no one else has ever done before - and that's pretty exciting as well.

Cons

If you have been working in a place where your boss gives you daily instructions and if you love stable rules and strict settings - then this place is not for you. So far the hiring has been focused on getting people who are responsible adults and people who do not need any babysitting. Coincidentally sometimes these responsible adults are also workaholics. So there is a small chance of TransferWise swallowing up your entire life - unless you have kids or a really exciting personal life. Obviously the people make the company and if you're looking to join, then remember that you are being measured up to people who have already established a reputation of being industry heavy hitters - be it business, design, customer support, engineering etc. So the barrier to entry can be a little intimidating sometimes.

Pros

Because it's TransferWise, of course. We're changing the banking world as it's known. And not only, it's breaking the rules of conventional corporate culture as well. Infamously cold and stern Estonian colleagues smile for no reason. There are so many people, so you're bound to get along with at least some of them, even if you're the oddest person in the world. The bonuses are considerable - both material and emotional. Being different is embraced, and TransferWise is constantly looking for ways to put it into good use. Your opinion and ideas matter, you can make a difference. Flexibility is the thing - a lot of us are able to make their own schedule. Working from home is totally normal. Could go on forever.

Cons

It's still a job, and not an easy one. Going can get rough, stress can build, since our customers are people after all, and people can be mean. And the ever-flowing stream of new info. So it's a challenge. If one doesn't feel like doing any actual work, TransferWise is not for them.
