Pros

-Good place to grow if you are starting working on entry level job -You get the chance to work with some amazing people and learn a lot from them -Salary is competitive and benefits are good

Cons

The one and only biggest Cons of working at Wise was management itself: -Management doesn't know how to handle underperformers. If you are high achiever, management is never happy with your results, always criticising you and pushing you to achieve even better. This way they are covering up underperformers in the team -No support from management for growth -Management usually delegates theirs tasks and decision-making to other people in the team -Teams are growing faster - because of the huge teams and poor team structure and management, sometimes working environment becomes toxic -Not standing up against management is usually rewarded

Pros

Free food in the office, free pizza.

Cons

They expect you to work all the time. There are metrics that measure if you are slacking even a minute off, and your team lead will present you data every month on how bad you and everyone else worked, and how hard you should be working - no matter what is your reality, they only care about crunching numbers. There are always waiting lines, and backlogs, and piles of old work that makes customers furious because Wise is selling something that's not true (instant transfers). Get ready to be called a biyatch and shouted at on a regular basis. Your team lead and bosses will not care, no matter how much abuse you take, you should be able to take it, and 'relax and release stress at home' apparently that's what your free time is for. They say that you can move on if you prove yourself, that's only true if you are friends with the right people, and you keep your mouth shut. Your bosses will literally sit through meetings all day, not doing nothing, but then come down raging on you to work harder. Forget about going to any of the fun events the company organizes, or having any holidays, in CS they don't allow you to do that. They try to lure you in with that, but essentially thats only for the fancier positions.

Hi, thanks for taking the time to share your current experience at Wise, I’m sorry to hear some of the concerns you are sharing. We know it is challenging, so we are working on it and we also have option to support our Wiser’s wellbeing and work/life balance. If you feel comfortable to make yourself known, I can find some time to sit down and talk about the issues you raised face to face. Whether it’s with me, your lead, or someone else you trust in the People team to talk things through confidentially, we’d really like to hear more and see what we can do to improve things for you and other Wisers. Feel free to slack me, Paula

Pros

- company used to provide lots of nice benefits before moving to a new office - you can meet really cool people who become your true friends - flexibility used to be but now not anymore

Cons

- very poor leadership (at least our team was so unlucky) - impossible to grow within the company, the rules change upon the mood of the leader or senior or if the moon is on the sky today - american style: you must show off to attract attention - changed completely to the usual corporate companies, no benefits, trying to save on the employees a lot
