Pros

TransferWise has really cool working culture. The people here are nice, willing to help you out. Each and everyone takes initiative and their responsibility seriously: 1. No blaming: Whenever you make a mistake, accept it, fix it then tell everyone your lesson. No one is gonna blame you for that. 2. Absolutely no politics: You dont exactly have a boss, more like a mentor/guide/leader and normally they act like your friend. 3. Great learning curve: The company has a startup culture, most people has to do lots of stuff on the ground, this opens opportunities to learn. 4. Direct feedback on your performance from your co-workers: Every quarter/half a year, you will get feedbacks from people you have worked with about what you have done and what need to be done. 5. Free trip to Estonia every year for company event, where all employees gather and party, have fun for 3 days.

Cons

1. Compensation is only acceptable 2. Learning curve stales after the first year, not much else to do, work becomes chores 3. The company is growing too fast, new comers and people keeps moving between department makes it hard to have a stable team. 4. People have to define their own career path since the company is not so clear on this.

Pros

Fantasitc "start-up" company culture. Great training and on the job support. If you don't know something, lots of resources to check or management is always willing to help and be supportive! Flexible with scheduling. Company paid team building events to foster "togetherness" great opportunity for advancement.

Cons

You have to step up your personal fitness routine to not get fat due to your awesome co-workers baking and bringing in food all the time!

Pros

- Exposure to complex problems at scale - Environment where you can learn a lot in a short period of time.

Cons

- In my experience, progression and opportunities did not always feel merit-based. Relationships and internal politics sometimes appeared to carry more weight than performance. - I felt the company struggled to consistently recognise and retain some highly capable employees. I saw talented individuals leave or stagnate despite strong contributions. - Certain teams felt cliquey, which could make it difficult for dissenting views or constructive challenge to be received positively. - Feedback occasionally felt personal rather than developmental, creating an environment where some employees may feel less comfortable speaking openly. - As the company has grown, some employee benefits and perks appear to have become less generous than they were previously. - Expectations were often extremely high, and workloads could feel difficult to sustain over long periods. 1 The pace and pressure may not be suitable for everyone, particularly those who place a high priority on work-life balance. -I observed colleagues experiencing significant stress, and I believe the environment can present wellbeing challenges for some individuals.
