Pros

Free snacks and beer are a nice touch. Great location if you work in the city. Great colleagues to take your mind off the job.

Cons

Management completely ignores the employees well being. They only care about money and will cut you out if you fit in perfectly. The pay is horrendous and you can't live off of it. They blind you with a trendy office space, free snacks and beer, and parties. Policies change constantly. And so will your pay/commission. You'll be expected to over achieve with little support. You'll also be completely micromanaged and often ask "what have you been doing?" When working hard and having a slow week in sales. They favor those who do well but don't help those who need help succeed. I would take back the year I worked there in a second if it weren't for the friends I met. We never saw sales numbers but often saw news reports of the CEO and management selling their shares of the company.

Pros

The colleagues I worked with were the only reason I stayed as long as I did.

Cons

You'll be forced to absorb the responsibilities of anyone who quits or is laid off, even if they are your manager. You will not get a salary increase for the incremental work, and if you successfully manage the additional workload, you won't get a promotion, they'll hire a consultant, who you will train, and then report to. When I put in my notice they tried to persuade me to stay by saying they'd promote me two levels on the spot. I had been vocal about wanting a promotion for 2 years but was skipped over even though my performance reviews were positive. My areas to improve included nonactionable things like "Keep up the good work!" It felt like a slap in the face.
