Pros

-Fun work environment and beautiful office. I had a blast during my time at Wayfair. You'll make lifelong friends. So many smart people. -Fast company growth can open doors and give you experiences that you wouldn't have received at a slower company - especially if you're an entry-level employee. While you won't always get a promotion or a pay increase to go with it, it will make you more valuable to other employers.

Cons

-Your experience as an employee can vary drastically depending on your department, team, and manager (which will likely change within your first year). -Lots of new people who don't always know what they're doing. In my opinion, this company grew too quickly. -Compensation is pretty far below market rate in Boston for just about every department. Too many people take a pay cut when hired into Wayfair. -Work/life balance can be pretty terrible, but again, it depends on your department. Too many people burn out and end up having to leave, and it's tough to watch. -Diversity is an issue. As others have said, there is an increasingly elitist feel to the company, with many ivy league and consulting alumni at the company. Wayfair is large enough now that hiring, developing, and promoting people with many different backgrounds needs to be a priority.

Pros

I worked at the Berlin office - pay was good for a company in Berlin, good extras like gym membership, free snacks.

Cons

Work was extremely repetitive. Often things are done in a way that makes absolutely no sense. Extremely old software - a LOT of copy and pasting involved.

Very disappointing

Pros

It used to be a tight-knit ran company where people were actually having fun and working.

Cons

There is no room for advancement whatsoever you basically have to know somebody to get any higher. They completely burn you out daily and give these very high expectations with minimum pay. There is absolutely no way to get any time off longer than 2 days without having to take a point or risk being fired. The change in management is so up and down and constantly reversed. Many promises have been made none of them have happened if anything it has gotten worse. If you can make it past 2 years congratulations. Also having no control over your schedule whatsoever is awful when some people are being told they can do part-time and then some people are told they absolutely cannot do part-time. Some employees can go and come as they please once their job is done when other employees have to be clocked in logged in with very minimal break time. 10 minutes break time after 3 hours and 30 minutes for lunch.
