Pros

Hybrid and/or remote work. Pretty decent company if you are a fan of huge firms.

Cons

I worked at WSP for around 3 years before I got laid off. Initially was part of one of the smaller companies they bought out. The buyouts cause instability and unfamiliarity with my company so I don't get to feel like I'm a part of anything anymore. I was just a number to them. 401k is laughable and healthcare is mediocre.

Standing desks, nice office space, interesting projects.

Cons

Experience highly dependent on manger, non technical manger would not give me any engineering work as they didn't understand it and delegated interesting and easy work to friends, had to find my own work or leave. Pressure from securing my own work while maintaining high utilization and tip toeing around timewasting bureaucracy, while PM's take credit for your hard work got to be too much over time.

remote/hybrid work; wide range of project type experience

Cons

benefit premium coverage is horrible- HIGH cost to the employee; holidays are minimal; PTO accrual (when not unlimited at management and higher level) is low; trainings are all virtual, infantile, and overly standardized; in regards to resources, reviews, meritocracy, communications, etc.- employees are treated like a number on a list; to take from a previous review- someone needs to inform executive teams making decisions for this large corporation that rapid growth is NOT a long terms, positive business model.
