Pros

Variety of projects Access to Experts Depending on the team the culture would be either good or bad As with a lot of the engineering industry years of experience counts most than individual performance Acquisition by WSP has given a boost to the morale

Cons

Salary disparities within same positions New hires could be paid more than employees who've been with the company for long Opportunities to diversify the skills are limited

Pros

If you have a good boss, you will have a great experience. For Technical Staff (engineers): Great job security; educational assistance and professional development is encouraged, and you can climb the corporate ladder if you're capable. Amazing access to projects, decent-great salaries depending on your negotiation skills, great PTO, great benefits.

Cons

Little to no work-life balance. Everyone here works hard and OT is expected. Rather than hire enough people for the workload, they just make current employees work more. Again, if you have a good boss, they'll recognize your efforts, but it usually just becomes the norm and they don't think extra of it. 401k match is way too low.

Pros

Great professional people, very friendly and as a large organisation people from all over the world. Met some really nice people there and learnt a lot from the more mature and experienced people. The head office is really nice and modern, so working conditions were good. Benefits aren't the best but they are not bad and every month or two there are social nights where the staff enjoy a great night out to socialise with their colleagues, often subsidised by the company.

Cons

Opportunities for growth and progression are available only if you are able to put the extra effort in. I was working 45+ hours a week (contract 37.5) and still not good enough, it is frowned upon if you get off your seat at 5pm! The large projects and on site offices means moving locations and working with different staff all the time.
