Pros

Nice offices and hybrid working

Cons

No development, stuck doing easy work that requires no training or work that senior staff don’t want to do. No feedback, no support, no collaboration Very high turnover, a lot of talk about retention but no action

Pros

If you know how to negotiate a good salary, the'll pay it.

Cons

1. No job is 100% safe, but nothing you do will spare you from eventually being cut when the company suddenly needs to "find" $10m after another sloppy merger. No utilization rate, no level of individual profitability, no amount of intra-corporate engagement matters to the accountant on the other side of the world who doesn't care who you are or what you've done for the company. 2. They're very siloed. Despite being one of the biggest engineering companies in the world, they don't share between regions. Just too difficult for them. You'll be stuck entirely in your geographic area. 3. No HR support for abusive managers. None. If you have a good manager, count yourself lucky. Because if you have a bad one, nobody will do anything about it. Firing a bad manager makes the people above him look bad for having hired and tolerated him for so long. So you're on your own there.

Very Corporate/terrible leadership in USA

Pros

The pay was fair to good.

Cons

The company culture (if you can call it that) is one of mixed messages and under cutting. Like any company they talk about the importance of employees but it’s just window dressing. This company is managed by accountants and you better hit your numbers every quarter or you’re gone. All moves are to cut costs and boost profits to show significant lenders their investment is worthy. In a constant state of reorganizing that leads to so much wasted time trying to understand what your work environment will be rather than focusing on important things like work. The supporting systems are outdated. The company had an overall feel of being a mess and lots of work needed to get internal systems functioning let alone functioning well. Leadership in business line and USA corporate is insincere and lacking. People in leadership positions train their successors through acquisitions and then get go. Toxic work environment all around.
