Pros

Overall, this is a great place to work. The compensation is truly unmatched in the industry, and the benefits package is generous and comprehensive. The company invests heavily in its people, offering wonderful development programs that help associates expand their skill sets and grow professionally. There are also unique opportunities to travel, which adds to the richness of the experience here.

Cons

Despite the many positives, growth can be stunted for mid-level associates due to limited advancement opportunities and capped pay in current roles. There's also a noticeable lack of accountability in some areas. High-performing employees are often expected to carry more of the load, while underperforming team members are allowed to continue without consequence, creating imbalance and added stress for others. Additionally, those who take initiative and contribute to performance improvements across other communities are not always fairly recognized or compensated for their extra efforts.

Pros

Management experience Good pay A lot of experience with vendors, invoicing negotiating

Cons

Cooperate is awful. They don’t care about the site level and expect the world. Skeletons crews being considered “industry standard.”

Pros

None. It was a toxic environment and I didn't feel safe at work.

Cons

The company says they have a training program. The training program is actually just corporate propaganda on how great the company is. You have to take these training courses in order to get promoted. Promotions have nothing to do with job performance, only taking the courses and passing them to the satisfaction of management. I really felt more like a cult. Management encourages deceptive sales tactics, false advertising, and overall sleazy behavior. Your safety is not important at all. The cameras don’t work, buildings have problems with theft, break-ins, and homeless drug addicts squatting in the building. You’re not allowed to carry mace, etc. to protect yourself. Management gets their bonus based on profit margins so they defer any and all maintenance to increase their bonus. Meanwhile, the onsite staff is left to deal with broken equipment, complaints from residents, and a building that’s falling apart due to neglect. Management will arbitrarily raise rents for no reason other than they want to make more money. The decision is never based on comp studies, vacancy rates, or any logic. If you express concern that the rents are higher than every other comp in the area, they will tell you to “just get more leases”. All sites are understaffed to increase management’s bonus. I finally left the company after two years of stress, low pay, toxic culture, and being moved from site to site every few months due to understaffing. When I put my notice in, I was given a cold shoulder from management who didn’t even recognize me, or offer any type of professionalism related to someone leaving a company. I was like I didn’t exist the last two weeks I was there. The HR department also cancelled my health insurance immediately and did not offer COBRA. I lost my health insurance and was completely blindsided. The following year after leaving the company I had to reach out to corporate because I didn’t get my W-2 on time. It was a huge hassle and very stressful. This was on-par with the number of former residents who would call and say they never got their security deposit back. Overall, it was an awful experience and I don’t recommend this company.
