Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We agree that the Free Ski Pass and the chance to meet and work with people from all over the world is one of the best perks for working with Vail. We truly have a diverse population in both guests and employees and it creates a really fun environment where all cultures blend together and share the one of a kind experience of being at a ski resort. We also recognize that the cost of living in the towns where our resorts are located can be high and compensation is continually being re-assessed each year. We too appreciate that the management staff is invested in what the employees think about their experience and give everyone a chance to voice his/her concerns anonymously for the leadership team to review and decide on the right courses of action are. We are happy to have you as part of our team!

Pros

Great people who share the same passion for quality work and fun in the outdoors. There is definitely the "work hard/play hard" mantra, with emphasis on enjoying our ski resorts, golf courses, etc.

Cons

Lots of meetings can make it difficult to stay on top of the workload.

Thank you for your feedback! We love that our company attracts those that are passionate about what they do and where they spend their time, it really allows us to come together as a strong community that knows how to have fun together. We agree that one of the challenges of working in a highly collaborative community is that the meeting time needed to talk through a project can be arduous. The leadership team recognized this during last year’s Leadership Summit and challenged us to ruthlessly prioritize when meetings need to take place, as well as where they take place so we can all enjoy the outdoor areas we love. Allowing all of us more time to focus on the action items and meat of the projects taking place, we are excited to continue to see this initiative grow. Thank you again for all that you do

Pros

Two words. Epic Pass. That is definitely the best reason to work here. Also great people.

Cons

Only con is that they don't have that many places to work, which is only a con if you want to move around and stay with the same company like I do.

We appreciate you taking the time to leave your feedback. We often here that the best perk to working in Vail Resorts is the free Epic Pass (now including Australia). We love the amount of opportunities unlimited access to our 11 North American resorts grants us. It can be challenging to find where your next step will be without direction. Some of the items that we have found helpful to broaden our internal network and potential job base is identifying a mentor that can help you see any potential career paths, as well participating in our on-site training classes, either for leadership skills or other hard skills (excel is offered at some locations) that is open to employees at every level and allows you the chance to meet people in other divisions or even at other mountains. We love that we are given the opportunity to own our personal development paths and can’t wait to see other actions come from developing career paths for our staff. Thank you for a great season, we hope that you come back or reach out to us to explore other job opportunities!
