      Pros

      The pros about working for Specialty Sports Venture is the fact that you get a free season pass for you and your dependents. The employees that they hire are good employees and they do what they are there for.

      Cons

      The cons about working for Specialty Sports Venture are that they don't offer any benifits to part time employees yet they hire everyone as part time except managers and assistant managers. Also , when they do the hiring they tell everyone that they will get ski breaks alot and i've working for the company for 3 years and have only recieved about 10 each season.

      Great co-workers with bad senior management and low pay

      Pros

      Stores located in great places. Great co-workers. Good equipment discounts. Decent vacation and flex time. High turnover rate means you can move up the ladder some if you stick around.

      Cons

      Company places no value in paying adults well enough for them to stick around at the store level. Not the best medical or dental coverage. They offer no vision plan. Depending where you work it is a very seasonal business that is at the mercy of mother nature to provide good snow years. Over reliance on seasonal J1 visa workers in key customer service areas is their major downfall.

      Pros

      You get to work around skis, golf, bikes. You get a free ski pass. As a manager you get demo equipment every year

      Cons

      the pay is low, raises are tough to get, opportunities are there and are given fairly but the pay doesn't improve much
