Huge missed opportunities

Pros

Manager employee discount of cost+10% is great. Free ski pass is a perk (comes with every vail job). Health benefits are fair, flex time off is a great concept.

Cons

Will work you to the bone. Had sexual discrimination, reported it to management and they brushed it under the rug (I stayed with the company for 3 years after that). Upper management is hard to accept change. Upper management does not have a personal presence. Raises come only with quitting and getting rehired, or by the more traditional annual review. Most people don't see more than 3% a year. They don't trust their employees. No one will encourage you to move up in your career, that's too much work to rehire your position.

Pros

The perks are the only reason anyone should do this job. Great discounts from brand names like Salomon, Burton, etc... You also get a full Epic pass, however this comes with blackout restrictions during peak times of the season in order to ensure the "experience of a lifetime" for guests.

Cons

They genuinely do not care about their employees at all. Upper management is incredibly disconnected from each individual store. There is such a high turnaround for employees that many do not return the following season.

Pros

Season Ski pass (Vail, Beaver Creek,Breckenridge, and Keystone) limited access to Abasin, etc. Retail environment and heavy work schedule during PEAK selling ( Christmas, spring breaks, etc.)

Cons

Store Managers, over worked during Peak Season, salaried based on 12 months but only working 6-8 of those months. Seasonal workers do not get holiday pay, sick time, or over time. Starting pay is very low for management position.
