Not as good as it seems (More than 2 years full time employee)
Pros
- A lot of Benefits - Nice Campus and good people - Knowledge and experience gained - Competitive Salary ( at least as TSE) - Free snacks and coffee - Company Bus - Annual Salary review - Good training and opportunities to develop technically.
Cons
- Live Balance is null - MicroManagement - Stress level is very unpleasant. - Minor opportunities to grow within the Company (not in the same branch) - Very high-stress environment to work in. - The survey is NOT a way to measure the engineer's job - Needs more strength against stupid customers - Massive rotation (60 % of people leave VMware in their first year) Live Balance is null, no chance to work from home, really bad Management, Senior People think that they are almighty sacred cows. I won't recommend this job and company unless your only purpose would belong to a leading tech enterprise and increase the visibility of your CV. During my 2 long years working there, there's no backup from Management's side against customers. They are extremely demanding even when they are wrong or have taken an unsupported decision. Does not matter, the most important thing is having a positive survey. YES, CUSTOMERS ARE WRONG MOST OF THE TIME. Adding to that, there is a new generation of Managers who don't have an idea of how to manage a team, how to deal with pressure and stress and how to handle a priority one case, really poor management. A lot of contradictory changes, one week you are doing one thing and the week after you have to change it. STARTUP MIND!!
