Pros

- International assignments if you are willing to relocate

Cons

- Almost no opportunities for promotions - You have to be a "lister" to be even considered for a promotion/manager level position. - No training given to new hires - Salaries are differentiated based on your educational qualifications and not your job role. Eg. you could be at the same position as another employee but earning $10k-15k lower than them as they have a higher qualification - Very political environment - Managers are not trained to manage/coach people. There isn't much differentiation in the job role of an employee and his manager. So you could be doing exactly the same work as your manager but of course earning lesser.

Pros

The people are great to work with and working on personal care brands is fulfilling

Cons

The forced processes for end of year evaluations end up negatively impacting some people who do not deserve it. Promotions tend to be given based on who you know and popularity rather than merit.

Pros

1) Engagement, and Empowerment; 2) Working closely with senior management, who share his/ her experience in different situations (lot of learnings); 3) Working under great business leaders; 4) Great systems and processes; and 5) lot of transfer to abroad, which gives employees experience of Global unilever.

Cons

1) Number of shifts are less from junior management (level 1D) to senior managemnt; 2) very low lateral recruitment and relatively lower oppurtunity for lateral recruits; and 3) Less focus on low profitability businesses, and hence on those employees working for such businesses. Which results in lower oppurtunity within Unilever.
