Pros

Great office in Shelton, CT. , free ice cream, 2 days work from home, sit/stand desks, great benefits, great BRGs, great people to work with.

Cons

Very political. Hard to move up unless you have management supporting you. Stay away from the Drug team. Worst management ever. Team members are pitted against one another and encouraged to snitch about other team members' mistake and shortcomings (instead of helping them) to get better ratings. Terrible training.

Casual work environment, company store, free ice cream, ability to work from home...

Cons

NO work life balance, antiquated systems, reactive instead of proactive approach to business. Terrible leadership.

Pros

Nice offices, pleasant location in the countryside. There is some interesting research which goes on. Some opportunities for travel overseas (especially if you like Holland).

Cons

A lot of political infighting between senior managers. A lot of bullying. Scientists are treated with contempt (one senior manager told us we shouldn't expect a good salary because we're scientist and just enjoy what we're doing): you will not get any promotion for being a good scientist, only for saying "yes" to the right person, never questioning what you're told to do (even if it makes no sense for a research project) and playing the political game (i.e. getting your manager a promotion).
