Unique benefits with absolute minimal pay.
Pros
Delta is a great company and it's nice to be associated with them through DGS. Flight Benefits are great , but only if you have another source of income that will allow you to use them. There is the opportunity to work in many locations since DGS operates out of many cities. Ramp work keeps you in shape.
Cons
Without relocating, there's no true chance for advancement for 95% of employees.... contrary to what they will tell you when you get hired. Most DGS employees can't afford to use their flight benefits because they can't take off for any amount of time and don't make enough to pay for other necessary travel costs (let alone normal living costs). Pay is a joke. It isn't competitive or close to what other companies pay for comparable work. They would rather replace you with somebody who's willing to work for pennies than pay you what you deserve. In other words, no hope for advance in pay. No regular raises or raises for expanded knowledge or time of service.
