Pros

Being at Delta (not dgs) is great. Love the work and perks.

Cons

I love working for Delta... but what bad luck having to go through Delta's contracting house, Delta Global Staffing (DGS) for employment. These guys are the most incompetent people I have ever worked with. They have NO idea how a FEDERAL Per Diem works... do not listen to a word they say. You WILL be audited by the IRS. Even though you come in on a per diem, they still make you fill out WEEKLY expense reports. Also, to even qualify you have to have a Temporary residence within 50 miles AND a permanent address more than 50 miles away. This is COMPLETELY backwards of how the rest of the industry handles per diem. A permanent address more than 50mi away is all that is ACTUALLY required. The staff are friendly, but cannot answer any questions with intelligence. If you ask for HR's contact they will tell you that "its against their policy to give out that information" WHAT?? Also, if you have any plans on working through them, make sure to check your calendar as they have a habit of scheduling you to come in on company holidays... enjoy your stay in the parking lot NOT getting the documentation done that you drove 6 hours to complete.

Pros

You get to fly anywhere in the US for free and you only pay taxes to fly international

Cons

Management is very poor, they do not treat their agents equally by any means. Shifts can start as early as 4am and go as late as 4am depending on what you get stuck with. Constantly rebidding on a shift based on your seniority so you may get stuck with a schedule you can't work if you're new. Many full time employees making $20k a year maximum-- the pay is not great but the benefits are nice.

Okay flight benefits, 401k potential, higher pay than other airlines

Cons

Lots of training, repetitive, hard to get direct deposit, hard to get uniforms, short staffed all the time.
