Pros

You receive a pay check. The discounts at the stores and salons are decent, increasing during special periods. There is very high turn-over in middle management which opens up opportunity for outside talent to be brought in.

Cons

Poor Senior Management and supervisors. Lack of communication from higher level management. Low pay for floor employees. The benefits are expensive. It always seems as though management is "hiding' something from you. They predetermine the career path for personnel. There is a glass ceiling.

Pros

The discount is decent, but its not worth it because of everything esle the employees have to go through. The health benefits are ok for managers.

Cons

The customer service is terrible and I am completely embarrassed to work for this company. Whatever happened to the customer is always right? There is no communication among managers, and all managers just do what they want. The associates get treated poorly by management and customers and they dont get paid enough to deal with all of that. The company does thank its employees, but District Managers and General Managers do not know how to thank their employees. I completely regret taking this job, and I am hoping to find a new one soon.

Company with strong performance in difficult economic times. Job security due to how well the company is doing, as long as you are performing up to standards.

Cons

Pay below similar positions at other companies. Hard to advance and/or get promoted. Performance indicators linked to review are not what your abilities reflects. You can receive low marks due to circumstances that you cannot control (ex. vendor issues, unpredictablity of retail market, etc) Company is growing and doing well, but does not see that trickle down to employees in the forms of promotion or raises.
