Pros

Money is decent and my schedule is the same all six days.

Cons

Training was horrible as it did not prepare me for the duties when left alone, no support from management, no benefits, and made to take five day vacation on one year hire date which doesn't correspond with summer break for kids so no family vacation.

Pros

Pay is pretty good. The job is very fast paced & keeps you busy the whole time so the time flies by quickly which I liked.

Cons

You can't have a life & work at Usps. You will work 6 days/week every single week except for holidays (which you don't get paid for). Then when you come back from a holiday you have double the work & more hours but nothing extra. You continually get split-shifts unless they decide they need you to stay for a 12 hour day with a lunch. There is no teamwork. You do not get retirement, sick leave or benefits. There is always poor planning. No respect. No praise. You are in the eyes of management there "Just a pion".

Pros

Pay is good and enticing

Cons

Takes years to get in full time. High turn over rate. High emphasis on speed. Routes are assigned hours. If you take longer then assigned time you don't get paid. Some offices treat you like dirt, no training, just go deliver. Office I chose did better and actually trained me. You must learn quick and be quick enough to meet high standards. Will not let you transfer to another position they would rather higher someone off the street then transfer a person more than qualified.
