      Good job but stressful

      Pros

      Lots of opportunities for movement and lots of career paths to suit the way you work.

      Cons

      Stressful (either physical or mental) work with weird hours. Company will leave you in bad situations if you don’t articulate displeasure with them. I’ve been working over a year a single part time supervisor on a two supervisor operation even after asking multiple times for a secondary supervisor.

      Pros

      - The benefits, especially for a part-time role, are really hard to beat. That goes for both union and management positions.

      Cons

      - The culture is terrible. UPS is an old company that retains an atmosphere of management that feels like it is a generation behind. Combining that with grueling physical labor, a large amount of pressure to hit production goals, and management personalities that lack soft skills can make for a pretty miserable work environment.

      Upper management change - ridiculous targets that are unachievable If you’re unlucky with a bad territory you won’t earn any commission which is out of your control So much red tape. Can’t influence any changes. No one listens to ideas. Completely process driven - ridiculously long winded processes in place. Service is getting worse. Lack of support form manager Departments work against each other rather than with
