Pros

Schedule flexibility, work life balance. If you have been with the company over 25 years, you are financially sound.

Cons

Not a real sales job. MDOS is awful and racist. Metrics are unreasonable. The list is endless. MONTHLY pay is dismal and QUARTERLY bonuses are a joke. You need a degree in physics to figure out the algorithms. Peak is coming and BD is going to work 12+ hours with no extra pay. No one cares about you as an individual.

Pros

Large employer, good experience and challenging work depending on an analytical role (good) versus reporting role (not challenging). Benefits are good. Management on the profit side have a positive attitude.

Cons

The cost finance team has a very toxic work environment in Chicago. High turnover rate due to dictatorial management team. Overtime is expected at this location due to high turnover; you are also expected to commute between 3 locations. Often, cost management yells at and berates employees which is unacceptable in a professional setting. Chicago Profit team: Yes; Chicago Cost Team: Join at your peril!

Pros

Ok benefits, gym, cafeteria, kuerigs. Ok pay. You do not go out to peak.

Cons

Being an admin here basically means you do the work no one wants to do. It doesn't matter that you are "just an admin" you will be asked to handle questions, situations, and reports above your paid grade because you "own" the reports you do. Mind you we aren't properly trained on the purpose of each report or explained what they are for. You are only acknowledged when you make a mistake. Admins are treated as the low of the low even though you are normally helping everyone. We aren't even given laptops but contact workers or interns, temp employees are given laptops. As an admin you first accrue your discretionary time however after a certain time you get it at the beginning of the year although your vacation is still accrued. Everyone above you gets to arrive and leave at their leisure. Using work time to go to the gym while you have to sit at your desk and arrive before everyone and usually leave after. The location for the corporate office is horrible. There is some management who let their employees leave work earlier to beat the traffic but that is if you have a laptop and /or you are under certain management teams. I don't feel there is much development for admins. High divorce rate.
