Pros

You work set hours and aren't encouraged to take your work home with you. You also receive pretty great benefits which would be expected from such a huge company.

Cons

Employees and work environment is very much like being in high school again. People are catty and can be very cliquey. Promotions are rare to none, you would need to apply for another position or department to receive a raise. Price to park on campus is absolutely ridiculous and rises every year. Employee recognition for good work is slim to none. After passing the probation period, it is difficult for UCLA employees to get fired which causes many conniving workers to pass on their work load to new candidates.

UCLA has great job stability

Pros

The campus is gorgeous and there is always lots going on. There is decent work-life balance and it's a place where it is hard to get fired (aka lots of job stability).

Cons

The aforementioned job stability makes it so that many people who aren't great at their jobs are around for eternity. There's little turn over. Raises are impossible to get unless you get a new job. Be prepared to only get 3% every year and have the same people who are terrible at their jobs get the same raise. It's pretty frustrating.

Pros

Mostly flexible work environment, lots of perks to being on campus. Van pools, gym, staff appreciation days.

Cons

Lots of inefficiencies, no incentive to innovate or think outside of box. Management poor at making decisions.
