Pros

Decent compensation. Some really bright people.

Cons

"Drink the kool-aid". If you were not raised through the Turner system, you are really never accepted. There are clearly two sets of rules. The ones for the Turner Boys and the rules for the rest of everyone else. They rule by being Big Bullies...... They're style gets real old real quick. Woman, are merely tokens and quotas. Usually promoted to meet metrics. It is an exhausting place to be......

Pros

Turner offers a great benefits package and above average salary. The people in administrative positions in the Cincinnati office are very personable and helpful. Stress work/life balance but expect you to be available on vacations/time off.

Cons

For a company this size I'm amazed there is no central marketing or communications group. As a result there is no cohesive look/feel to any of the marketing materials. As a marketing group member you are expected to also be a graphic designer. Performing basic graphics I can understand but they expect you to do rebranding and high level design. In additional most business units only have one marketing professional. Which means it's all you all the time. I work for a subsidiary and it's clear the lack of marketing structure has been around for awhile. I would recommend Turner as a place to get 2 or 3 years experience but I do not recommend for someone with experience as a marketing professional. You will get frustrated very quickly.

Pros

Challenging Projects Staff training Resume Medical Benefit options

Cons

Inundation of paper, procedures and protocol should be streamlined. Construction company trying to operate like a law firm. Its like pouring sand in gears of well oiled machine trying to build job Field staff blamed for all safety incidents that occur on projects, a worker trips over his shoe laces and its your fault Lack of staff incentives Upper management full of dead weight sitting around company for 20+years WLB-Work, Life, Balance should be changed to WWW-Work, Work, Work
