Pros
The best part of working at the Container Store are my fellow employees: they are kind, often funny, and hard working. The hourly pay for part timers (prime timers) is slightly above retail average.
Cons
Horrible health insurance for part timers, the premiums for which are paid ENTIRELY by the employees. After deductions made for health insurance an employee who works less than 20 hours a week typically nets less than $2 an hour. If you want to be full time, dream on. It is discouraging to ask for more hours, and to make yourself available for almost any shift, but to be kept at 15-20 hours per week: and then see another group of new part timers begin working. Instead of hiring new workers, why can't the existing workers get more hours?
