Pros

Good salary for retail, coworkers nice, discount is generous.

Cons

Part timers are rarely considered for open FT positions. Favoritism abounds. If the management team does not care for you, then they barely speak to you. Schedules vary wildly from week to week. Experienced senior PT staff have left in droves this past year and when it happens management lets them go instead of finding out why. Management is never transferred out of the store so the same useless pair have been in place for years.PT benefits poor.

Pros

The Container Store was the place to find fantastic products to meet every storage and organizational need. The company offers good salaries , employee discounts and extensive training. The store teams are built with great people .

Cons

Over the years the Container Store shifted its focus from solutions based sales supported by the staff of knowledgeable employees to just sales and profits. Customers have seen a reduction of knowledgeable service and lesser quality products. Many veteran team members have left the stores unfortunately taking the product knowledge and excellent service with them.

only 5.5 hours for a shift, love the co-workers, well organized company and communication, respect employees as adults and doesn't treat you like a kid. Great at balancing home and work life.

Cons

Would like more hours so I would have to keep asking for more or asking others for shifts.
