Corporate shills?

Pros

Lol please. Don't ask me about the pros of this company.

Cons

Read my previous review titled "They get worse every day." I'm just typing this one to say that these recent 4 and 5 star reviews have to be fake reviews from corporate level shills who want to make this place look and sound as good as possible. Nobody in the trenches of the work really thinks this highly of the company or of Satish.

Pros

Had some great co-workers who became good friends outside of work.

Cons

Since going public, the company’s core values have seriously degraded. Once they prided themselves as having an “employee first” culture, and it was wonderful. We were treated well and made to feel appreciated. Now it’s all about $ and I felt like just another employee number they plugged into the schedule. I was a hard-working, take-initiative type of worker and I know I was valued, but management was still able to make me feel as disposable as a used gum wrapper. It’s not the worst place to work, but beware that the manager can definitely define the working atmosphere.

Pros

In the real of retail, it was a pretty easy job. Work life balance was a plus and decent pay.

Cons

Poor upper management fails to maintain the culture that made TCS great. Upper management doesn’t pay attention to the details (ex. Visiting stores less than once a month when they should be in weekly, failure to act on employee issues (no HR department is another con), open door policy and “no retaliation” policy is a joke. Area director always sides with general manager which leaves you feeling alone. Actions don’t meet words (ex. General manager late everyday, leaves early even when the store is busy, area director online shopping during conference calls, zero accountability, promises of promotion that are never fulfilled.) I was convinced to take a pay increase that was lower than what my performance dictated under the guise of my impending promotion. (Never received the promotion).
