      Calico is a vibrant, challenging and friendly place to work with a real focus on staff development . Always looking forward seeking opportunities to make a positive difference to peoples also make's it an exciting place to work s I get a real feeling that the work I do really matters. Great staff perks

      Outside influences really , funding cuts can make things challenging !!

      Pros

      Excellent working conditions with light, airy offices - very modern. Good managers with regular meetings to discuss any issues or concerns. Good holidays and flexi-time available for certain positions. Well-being of employees a priority with plenty of opportunities to attend events.

      Cons

      Due to recent government and funding cut-backs, certain departments have had to make redundancies. This has caused a drop in morale for staff with people concerned for the future of their positions.

      People are welcoming and helpful with no office politics. Staff are cared for and the work interesting, challenging and you feel that you can make a difference. Managers are approachable, staff are kept informed and are listened to. While it is businesslike, customers are put first and it's not just about the money

      Very busy, work is challenging and they have high expectations
