Pros

I think the only pros are that the group attracts local people and feeds on the lack of sector knowledge provided by the bulk of its employees to retain staff. Local unskilled staff working for an organisation that is managed by ineffective managers.

Cons

Where do i begin.... this group is not what it appears. The managers are ineffective across the board. Poorly trained staff serve vulnerable communities, providing sub standard accommodation and advice and guidance that only serves to hinder any chance of its customers becoming self sufficient. The people that progress in this group are the yes men... the teams that bow down to a dictatorial management style. Senior managers and heads of service that basically steal a living. Lacking in even the basic understanding of what makes great customer service. On paper calico provide it's staff and customers with everything you need for success. This is not the case. The whistle needs to be blown and an in depth inspection needs to take place to weed out the managers that WILL run their services into the ground. Cliques are common place, bullying is happening although they do their best to brush this under the carpet. Vulnerable tenants are put at risk from inadequate safeguarding procedures. Housing officers picking and choosing who they house, leaving customers to tackle damp dirty sub standard homes. Investigate this place and you will see it is an utter disgrace.
