Pros

Most employees are nice. Company has a great history, sells good product and is worthy of a big push to succeed.

Cons

New management doesn't have a single vision or clear direction on how this company should be run. Management is not inclusive and cannot seem to agree with each other or stick to a decision.

Pros

Relationships built with Representatives. Experiences to add to resume. Earned many opportunities to travel.

Cons

Unappreciated, over worked, downsizing, moving distribution centers, cutting more positions in Jan. at returns center, owned by a private Investment group, website issues, product stock issues, loosing Representatives much faster than bringing in new.

Pros

Some of the best reasons to work for Avon are the Representatives. Wonderful friendships are formed. It is rewarding to help people achieve their goals. YEARS AGO, working for Avon (Avon Products, Inc) felt like a warm family environment. As the company began to falter, that warm feeling went away. When Cerberus took over, that feeling was non-existent.

Cons

While I do not agree with them, I do understand the company's decision to eliminate the positions of District and Division Sales Managers. I hold no ill will toward the company on that issue. HOWEVER, during the entire time that the company has been led by the "President of Social Selling" there has been a total and complete lack of respect for field management. We were treated as if we did not exist. There was a complete lack of communication. If we happened to identify a problem and/or recommended improvements - either to upper management or to the home office - there was either NO response or VERY NEGATIVE response to any communications that District Managers attempted to submit.
