It halted overall growth and took a toll on my mental health
Pros
Medical insurance and term insurance is good
Cons
Joining here has been the biggest mistake of my life, and the regret still hasn’t faded. If you're joining on a market-standard package, you’ll constantly be judged because internal salaries are much lower. There is an extreme level of favoritism, as most employees are part of an internal circle. There is no psychological job safety—you can be shown the door at any time without justification. All roles are individual contributor positions, but misleading managerial titles are handed out. These 'managers' often take credit for good work, which ultimately stunts team growth. The product is entirely legacy. In the name of innovation, they merely update the same outdated system. Apart from the programming language, the entire tech stack is obsolete, which can make you lose your competitive edge in the job market. Managers are petty ("chindi") and often disregard basic workplace boundaries. If you're stuck here due to personal reasons, you may slowly start losing your sense of self-worth. Managers lack strong technical skills and leadership qualities. If you're coming from a company with a healthy work culture, avoid joining. I was given this advice before joining, but I ignored it—and paid the price. Managers are petty, to be honest, and often disregard workplace boundaries. If you're stuck here due to personal reasons, over time, you'll likely start losing your sense of self-worth
