My lead was to date one of the worst women I have ever encountered. She did a terrible job training, did not answer questions, was thoroughly condescending to myself and our team. She only has this lead role for a short amount of time and was the furthest thing from a leader. Had I known that this environment does not nurture helpfulness and compassion I never would’ve signed on. The company wanted everyone to go work in an office even though there are not enough offices nor spaces for everyone. I’ve also never had a team where they were mean and unhelpful. Burn out was easy here. Working 12 hour days was silently expected. I do not recommend. Pay is not high enough for how difficult it is here. Also no bonus structure! 👎

Lack of consistent communication, I was told I was working in one location during the interview process, after moving 3k miles and signing a lease on an apartment, they changed the location on my first day. There was also a fire, and a shooting in a parking lot on campus and only found out about them after seeing them on google weeks later, HR/Management never addressed these. Toxic work culture, asked to work a "bare minimum of 40 hours", and a sometimes cult like following of the CEO. Constant policy changes such as forcing everyone back into office despite work that can be done at home and not giving employees covid test kits (equivalent companies provide these along with a hybrid in office/home schedule). Low end of the pay for equivalent jobs at other companies. Parking at all campuses is a nightmare, offsite parking adds an additional minimum of 20 minutes to commute. Work/Life balance non-existent, expected to be available at any hour and weekends, I was being texted on my personal phone about emails on my PTO.
